About the station
VODV Radio is the Voice of Da Voiceless online radio experience for Utica, New York. These terms apply to this website, its installed web app and its interactive features. Please read them alongside our Privacy Policy and Community Guidelines.
Using VODV
You may listen without an account. Accounts, submissions and caller participation are intended for people 13 or older; people under 18 should have a parent or guardian’s permission. Keep account credentials private, provide accurate information and use only host access you are authorized to use.
Your messages, recordings and calls
You keep any rights you have in your original contributions. When you send a song request, shout-out, board post or voice recording, you give VODV permission to store, review, moderate and share that contribution on the station or its community board as appropriate to the feature. You must have permission to submit the material and any other person’s voice or personal information included in it. A request is not a guarantee of publication or airplay.
Going on air
A caller must be approved by a host. When you join an active live segment, your voice may be heard publicly with the host, other connected participants, music and effects. Use headphones and avoid sharing information you want to keep private. Microphone permission alone does not mean you are on air.
Private inquiries
Messages sent through Contact & reports are for station administration, privacy, accessibility or rights inquiries. They are not licensed for broadcast or public posting and cannot be published using the board’s moderation controls.
Music and intellectual property
VODV Radio does not own the copyrights to industry songs or other artists’ music played on this station. All music rights belong to their respective artists, songwriters, publishers, labels and other rights holders. Music, artwork, logos and other material remain subject to their owners’ rights. Access to the station does not grant permission to copy, redistribute, rebroadcast or commercially exploit those materials. Hosts must obtain the rights needed for the music and recordings they broadcast; uploading a file does not obtain those rights. Report a rights concern through our Copyright & content reports page.
Moderation and acceptable use
Do not harass, threaten, impersonate, post private information about others, submit unlawful or infringing material, spam, or interfere with the station. Hosts may decline, hide or remove contributions and restrict access when needed to address misuse. Opinions expressed by callers and guests are their own.
App access, points and availability
Listening and browser installation currently have no station access fee. Carrier data charges may apply. City Cred points are participation recognition, have no cash value and do not promise prizes or payments. Internet access is required; device support, background audio and call connectivity vary. The station can experience delays, interruptions or maintenance and is not an emergency service.
Responsibility and changes
Use the station responsibly. VODV cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability or the accuracy of every guest contribution or external resource. Nothing here excludes rights or responsibilities that cannot lawfully be excluded. We may update these terms and show the new effective date here.
