What is Voice of Da Voiceless Radio?
VODV Radio connects inner-city Utica through music, live DJ segments and community conversation. We support youth, families and second chances. Explore the mission and programs.
Is listening free? Do I need an account?
Listening is free and does not require a host or supporter account. Internet access is required and your carrier’s data charges may apply.
How do I start listening?
Tap Listen live or a play button on the station. Use the volume control to adjust your sound. If playback stops, check your connection and tap play again. Browsers require a tap before audio can start.
How do I install the radio app?
Use Get the app or Install the app, then follow the instructions for your device. On iPhone and iPad, open in Safari and use Share, Add to Home Screen, then Add. Other devices may offer Install in the browser menu. See the full device-by-device guide.
Can I listen without internet?
No. Live radio and station music need an internet connection. Installing the app adds convenient access; it does not download the music for offline listening.
How do I request a song or send a shout-out?
Choose Request or Shout-out, enter your on-air name and message, and send it to the station. Hosts review submissions. A request does not guarantee airplay.
How do I call in or leave a voice message?
Choose Call in when the host’s browser call line is open, allow microphone access and wait for host approval. Use headphones. You can also choose Voice to record a message, listen back and send it to the host inbox. Submitted recordings may be shared on air.
Who controls the live show and sound effects?
Authorized hosts run the show, approve callers and control music and sound effects from the host dashboard. Listeners can hear the broadcast but do not control the host’s effects.
What are City Cred points?
City Cred recognizes participation such as daily check-ins and eligible messages. Points have no cash value and do not promise prizes or priority airtime. Guest history may be lost if you clear browser data.
How can I support the community mission?
Visit the official VODV MY AIR ID locker for programs, contacts and ways to help. The mission section also links to the organization’s support page. Giving is optional; everyone is welcome to listen.
Does VODV own the music played on the station?
VODV does not own the copyrights to industry songs or other artists’ music. Rights belong to their respective owners. A disclaimer does not replace required permissions or licenses. Read the music ownership notice or report a rights concern.
Where can I ask for help or report a problem?
Tap the ⓘ beside a feature for instructions or read the station guide. For a private support, accessibility, privacy or content-rights request, use Contact & reports. Include the page and your device/browser so the host can investigate.
